Pastor Jose Ng is the Lead Pastor for Country Church of the Open Bible. Jose and his lovely wife, Catee, have been married for 21 years and are raising two sons, Nolan, 19 and Silas, 17. His love affair with Catee began in February of 2000 and they were married that November. Jose met Christ at age 6 at a Lowell Lundstrom crusade at Riverside School. He fell in love with the church when he visited his grandfather, a pastor in Iowa at age 11. Jose permanently dedicated his life to his Savior in seventh grade.

Jose was born in Chewelah and has lived in the Elk community since he was 5 years old. He has worshipped his entire adult life at Country Church of the Open Bible so he knows the area and community well. He served as Youth Pastor at CCOB from 2002 to 2013. After completing an Associate Credential with INSTE Global Bible College (Institute of Theology by Extension), Jose took a Connection Pastor (Associate Pastor) position with CCOB in June 2013, and became Lead Pastor in March 2019 after completing Discover Ministry School through the Open Bible Denomination. Simultaneously, Jose has coached football and basketball with the Riverside School District.

Pastor Jose is a natural leader with a true passion for shepherding God’s chosen in Elk Washington. He considers the Elk/Riverside area his mission field and has served, first the youth of this area by developing a discipleship and counseling program that serves a hearty meal to the kids each week, as well as a popular annual youth camp. Pastor Brian Clare has revitalized this program that now serves upwards of 60 area kids. Now as Senior Pastor, Jose’s leadership vision and boundless genuine energy has manifest in strong Biblical preaching, a vital Sunday discipleship program, weekly prayer services, ministry for every age from nursery through seniors, and a strong community outreach to the saved and unsaved. He oversees a cohesive and joyful church staff including administrative and ministerial servants, and trains young interns.
